For example, somewebsite.com is linking to yourwebiste.com\/products\/.<\/li>\n<li>Internal links, are links pointing to pages inside your website. For example, yourwebiste.com\/products\/ is linking to yourwebiste.com\/product-a\/.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to determine the value of a link?<\/h2>\n<p>The value of a link, and the potential impact it can have on search engine rankings, is not only determined by the fact it is an equity link or not.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"explanation\">\n<li>External links from relevant and important sites have a bigger impact than internal links.<\/li>\n<li>Does the link pass value (Link equity or No link equity)? No link equity passing links are a common part of the internet and they can provide topic relevancy, relevant traffic and or credibility.<\/li>\n<li>Links from unique domains are more important than links from sites that have linked to you before.<\/li>\n<li>Links using relevant anchor text are able to pass more keyword focused value. (Anchor text is a very important factor but you have to be careful and preserve a natural backlink profile)<\/li>\n<li>Links from trusted high value sites are more important than links coming from new low value sites.<\/li>\n<li>Links from inside the content pass more value than links inside the footer or blogroll.<\/li>\n<li>A page containing a high number of links will pass less value per link.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Metrics to determine the value of a link:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Page Authority<\/li>\n<li>Domain Authority<\/li>\n<li>Page Rank<\/li>\n<li>Domain age (This metric on itself isn\u2019t that important, but it provides the context to interpret the other values).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to identify high value links?<\/h2>\n<p>You can use these tools to identify high value links:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"explanation\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seoreviewtools.com\/valuable-backlinks-checker\/\">Backlink checker<\/a>, use this tool to check the link profile of your website or the site of your competitor.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seoreviewtools.com\/website-authority-checker\/\">Website authority checker<\/a>, determine the authority of a specific page and the complete domain.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seoreviewtools.com\/bulk-seomoz-authority-checker\/\">Bulk Domain Authority &amp; Page Authority Checker<\/a>, check all the Mozscape API metrics (Domain authority, Page Authority, and MozRank) for multiple domains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"What are Equity Links?
